A Family in Need

About five weeks ago, another family with our adoption agency, Carole and Marty Phillipson, brought home their two boys from Ethiopia, Samuel and Paul. They live in Wisconsin. Last Saturday Samuel, who is 3 1/2 years old, was severely injured in an accident involving the family's tractor. Samuel is alive, but has lost one leg below the knee, the other leg at the ankle, has a badly broken arm and hip, and has many, many other very critical injuries. He is now in stable condition but has a very long road ahead of him and many, many more surgeries. They've been on my mind so much, and I just wanted to tell you all about them. They need a lot of prayers. If you want to follow Sam's progress, the family has a web site through the hospital where they are posting updates with his progress. It is: http://www.caringbridge.org/visit/samuelphillipson. Additionally, there is a fund set up for donations to help the family financially. I have information about that if anyone would like it. But mostly, please just keep them in your thoughts and prayers.
